| Galois symmetries of the fundamental group of P^1 minus three points |
| Abstract: We study the action of the absolute Galois group on the pro-l completion of the fundamental group of the projective line minus three points. The Lie algebra of the image of the Galois group has a natural filtration, called the depth filtration. We relate the structure of the associated graded of depth $m$ with the geometry of a certian local system on the modular variety for GL_m(Z). |
