| Schubert Varieties and Gelfand-Cetlin polytope. |
| Abstract: The Gelfand-Cetlin action coordinates, constructed by Guillemin and Sternberg, provide a map from the flag manifold to the Gelfand-Cetlin polytope. By considering preimages of certain faces of the Gelfand-Cetlin polytope we construct new cycles for equivariant cohomology classes of Schubert varieties. These faces are in one-to-one correspondence with rc-graphs, which encode the monomials in the expansions of Schubert polynomials. |
