Abstract:   I will describe some simple examples of moduli spaces of irregular connections from various viewpoints. In particular certain Nakajima quiver varieties will be related to certain moduli spaces of irregular connections, generalising the common "star-shaped" quivers, used for example by Crawley-Boevey in his work on the Deligne-Simpson problem.
