Talk at 1:30 p.m. in 509 Lake Hall

Abstract:    A fundamental theorem in equivariant K-theory is the localization theorem for actions of diagonalizable groups. In this talk I will explain how this theorem can be extended to actions of non-abelian groups using a K-theory analogue of induced representations. This talk is based on joint work with W. Graham.

Here are some directions to Northeastern University. Lake Hall can be best accessed from the entrance on the corner of Greenleaf Street and Leon Street.
