Arithmetic cohomology and special values of zeta functions

Abstract:    I will use ideas of Lichtenbaum and Voevodsky to define a cohomology theory with compact support for varieties over finite fields, which is conjecturally finitely generated, gives an integral model for l-adic cohomology, and is related to special values of zeta functions.
