Talk at 1:30 p.m. in 509 Lake Hall

Abstract:    There are several ways to define homology/algebraic cycles on the moduli space of Riemann surfaces. A particularly curious one is using the cellular decomposition given by ribbon graphs. Cycles of this type were first introduced by Witten-Kontsevich-Penner and then generalized by Kontsevich. I will discuss a few results and some open problems in the area.

Here are some directions to Northeastern University. Lake Hall can be best accessed from the entrance on the corner of Greenleaf Street and Leon Street.
