| On the integrality of instanton numbers |

Abstract: The instanton numbers are the numbers of rational curves on certain Calabi-Yau varieties. The Mirror Symmetry conjecture expresses these numbers in terms of the Hodge structure for the dual variety. It is not however clear from the second definition that the numbers one get from the Hodge structure are integers. I will explain a proof of this fact. This is a joint work with M.Kontsevich and A. Schwarz. |
