Student Population: College of Business or A&S Economics majors
Goals: The intent of this course is to introduce several topics that are not usually covered in standard high school algebra courses. These include exponential functions and logarithms, permutations and combinations, compound interest, and some probability. This course also serves as a prelude to topics that will be covered in more depth in MTH1114. Note: This course it does not fulfill the mathematics proficiency requirement for Arts and Sciences majors. MTH1113 is part of a 2 course sequence, the second being MTH1114: Calculus for Business and Economics.
