Resolutions Group at Northeastern
Our group works on finite free resolutions of defining ideals of varieties with large groups of symmetries. In particular we are interested in the ideals of orbit closures for representations of reductive groups with finitely many orbits. This includes classical determinantal varieties but there are many more interesting examples.
Another family of interesting examples are the orbit closures for quiver representations for Dynkin quivers.
