2012 - 2013 MST Scholarship Program
Northeastern University will support students in the College of Science through the Math and Science Talent (MST) Program which is funded by an NSF S-STEM grant. The grant will support up to 12 entering freshmen students as NU MST Scholars. The program is open to all entering freshmen who meet the eligibility criteria. MST Scholars will participate in the NSF funded PRISM program. Participation in PRISM will enable students to engage in scientific research early in their college years.
- MST scholars will receive up to $40,000 for up to 8 semesters ($5000 per full academic semester)
- Additional funds will be available to support research related activities
Mission: The mission of the program is to increase the number of academically talented students receiving degrees in science by offering scholarships to those with heavy financial need. Special emphasis will be placed on recruiting and retaining students from backgrounds that have been traditionally under-represented in mathematics and science.
