- Text : Arthur Mattuck: Introduction to Analysis, Prentice Hall (Most recent edition)
- The emphasis of this course is estimation and approximation; how analysis replaces replaces the equalities in calculus with inequalities.
A major goal of the course is for students to be able to read and write proofs.
Homework will be assigned daily, but will not be collected. Each Thursday, there is a short quiz over the homework 30%.
Each quiz will consist of one or two problems taken verbatim from the homework assignments.
There are two hour exams, 30%, and a two hour final, 40%. Late work will not be accepted.
