MTH 1010 Mathematics Preliminaries 2

Course Description

Prerequisites: Placement by freshmen entrance test or by approval of course coordinator.

Student Population: Students lacking knowledge of algebra.

Goals: To build a foundation for taking required math and statistics courses. To build problem-solving skills and confidence. Focus is on process.

Solving first degree equations
Graphing lines and curves
Solving simultaneous equations
Solving quadratic equations
Solving rational equations
